Ahmet Tamtekin is one of the top coaches in Turkey working with board level executives of many international companies. He has been a supply chain executive both abroad and in Turkey and he lectures on Global Supply Chain in Bordeaux Management School.

Born in 1961 in Munich, Ahmet Tamtekin graduated from Bosphorus University as an Industrial Engineer. In 1986, he joined Coopers & Lybrand’s Management Consultancy Services, first in Istanbul and then in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom until 1992.

He later joined UK’s largest logistics service provider Exel Logistics providing consultancy support to Exel’s clients in continental Europe. 

Early 1995, he joined Exel Belgium as part of the team taking over a distribution center from GB, Belgium’s biggest retailer. In 1997 He joined Sabena Technics (Belgium) as Deputy Business Unit Manager for Materials Management Division. He later became European Logistics Director for Tenneco Automotive and finally the Logistics Senior Director for Mattel Toys Europe, Middle East and Africa. He stayed six years with Mattel and then became the Logistics Business Unit President for Arkas Group, running a business unit of five companies with full P&L responsibility.

He left Arkas in 2008 and set up his coaching practice whilst joining Borusan Lojistik as a non-executive board member as well as directing strategic projects for DHL Belgium. He is also a regular visiting lecturer for Bordeaux Management School and delivered lectures for UIBS Antwerp, Brussels and Valencia.
