Tolga Izzet Gunel

Director of Supply Chain - Building Products Group - Eczacıbası Toplulugu

Tolga İzzet Günel is Director of Supply Chain operations for Eczacıbaşı Building Products Group. He joined Eczacıbaşı Group in 2011 as Director of Bathroom Division of the Building Products Group.

Before Eczacıbaşı, he worked in P&G for 15 years. Started his career in 1996, he worked in the Turkish Laundry Plant as Materials Planner and local buyer, then production planner. In 1999, he moved to Mechelen, Belgium, the largest distribution center in Central Europe for P&G at the time. He led DC Planning team, then became Site Internal Controls for Mechelen, then took over outside warehouse and transport operations for the distribution center as logistics department manager.

Then, he led the SAP R3 Supply Chain project for Mechelen Plant, DC and European Contract Operations. With that project’s success, he consulted further SAP R3 implementations in the region. Then, he led the Wella acquisiton and integration for logistics in Benelux.

In 2004, he moved back to Turkey P&G HQ as Demand, Supply and Initiatives Planning Group Manager, responsible for Health and Beauty Care categories. In 2006, he moved back abroad CEEMEA HQ in Geneva, Switzerland, as Human Resources Group Manager across supply chain operations of the region. In 2007, he took the lead of supply chain operations of P&G Global Development Markets division, responsible for distributor markets across 70 countries in the Globe.

Born in 1974 in Ankara, Tolga İzzet Günel graduated from Gazi Anadolu Lisesi 1992 and Bilkent University Industrial Engineering Department in 1996. He is a member of Bilkent University Industrial Engineering Department Advisory Board. He is married with 2 children. He plays guitar and is a vocal for the Corporate Band of Eczacıbaşı.
